Slick Chick made her first move from dancefloor to dj-booth about a decade ago and have been deejaying ever since. After playing techno and dark electronics for a few years she discovered the wonderful world of italo disco. She became fascinated by the robotic sound of this electronically produced disco with its melodic synth riffs and catchy vocals. From this point on she started to dig deeper into the more obscure side of disco music that remains largely unknown till this day. Her drive to play records is mainly to share this rather obscure music with the crowd and give it the exposure it deserves.
Slick Chick has been noticed for her sophisticated taste of music and her skills to get the dancefloor moving. By mixing up italo and disco with house and new wave she likes to keep her sets funky, energetic and unconventional.
Slick Chick is part of the infamous Moustache Records label based in Rotterdam. She did various mixtapes and podcasts for radio stations like CBS, Intergalactic FM and the London based Magic Waves Radio.
Slick Chick plays at clubs in her hometown Rotterdam at a regular basis. She’s also been invited at clubs in Amsterdam, The Hague, Eindhoven, Utrecht, London, Helsinki and Brussels. At these parties she performed alongside guys like I-F, Alden Tyrell, Dj Savino, David Vunk, Mark du Mosch, Tom Trago, Casionova, Ali Renault, Fred Ventura, Casco, Lupe, Martin Duvall to name a few.
