On March 26th, 1500 square meters of the monumental “Westelijk Handelsterrein”-complex were transformed into a mini-festival: one Central Area connecting five Dance Area’s, where 33 international and national DJ’s performed. This edition we added a Chill Out to our many area’s.
PKHS was a co-operation of over eight different organizations that shared one electronic love: high quality dance-music.
Different styles and DJ line-ups
Our five ‘main stages’ each had different programming and represented different styles: from deephouse to minimal, from tech-house to techno, from jazzy dub to electro/disco and IDM. Plus, lounge-music and soundscapes in our Chill Out.
Meet & greet, food, art & more
An organic ‘all you can eat’ dinner was served in the Central Area from 18:00 – 21:00 for just € 5,= extra. This is when and where everyone met & greeted our DJ’s, all of the organizations that participate and the Pakhuis crew, or, simply enjoyed their organic dinner with your friends. During the night a smaller bite will was served: fresh sushi prepared by attractive Japanese girls in kimono.
We try to make use of all kinds of creative talent, put Rotterdam back on the map, be on the forefront of high quality electronic dance-music, and offer you a great night at a reasonable price. We like to mix crowds. We stimulate the crossing of borders in dance-music styles. Check out our upcoming edition to taste this for yourself.
